Miners Arms

Water Lane, EYAM, Hope Valley, S32 5RG

This welcoming 17th-century inn and restaurant was built just before the plague hit Eyam; the village tailor brought damp cloth from London and hung it to dry in front of the fire so releasing the infected fleas. The pub gets its name from the local lead mines of Roman times. Owned by Greene King, there's always the option to pop in for a pint of their IPA or Ruddles Best bitter, or enjoy a meal. A beer festival is held three times a year.
