The Borough Arms

One of England's best loved recreational trails, the Camel Trail, skims past this considerately updated Victorian railway pub in the Cornish countryside outside Bodmin. Trains carrying china clay along the old line have been replaced by cyclists and ramblers, accessing the pub car park directly from the trail to indulge in a range of West Country real ales and ever-reliable pub grub. Steaks, barbecue pork ribs and fish and chips revive flagging lovers of the outdoors, or try the carvery. Families are well catered for, with a new children's play area to burn off extra calories.
