The Borough Arms

DUNMERE, Bodmin, PL31 2RD

One of England's best loved recreational trails, the Camel Trail, skims past this considerately updated Victorian railway pub in the Cornish countryside outside Bodmin. Trains carrying china clay along the old line have been replaced by cyclists and ramblers, accessing the pub car park directly from the trail to indulge in a range of West Country real ales and ever-reliable pub grub. Ploughman's, steaks, curry of the day and freshly battered fish and chips revive flagging lovers of the outdoors, or they can try the carvery. Families are well catered for, with a children's play area to burn off extra energy.
