The Plough

DULOE, Liskeard, PL14 4PN

Set deep in the Cornish countryside, Richard Shepherd and Louisa Duggie's pub is found in a quiet village midway between the bustling towns of Liskeard to the north and Looe to the south. Duloe is also home to the Cornish Orchards Company, so no surprise to find its ciders on tap alongside St Austell ales in The Plough's bar. Richard and Louisa's use of local produce extends when possible to the menus. A starter of Cornish Yarg and chive croquettes with mulled cider Cumberland sauce, for example, could be followed by a whole gratinated crab with Plough bread and mixed leaves. Finish with ginger parkin and ice cream, or Cornish cheeses with frozen grapes and fig and apple chutney.
