The Tanners Arms

In a tiny village and overlooking open countryside, this 17th-century inn derives its name from the tannery that was once in business up the road. In the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park it makes a good stopping point for those setting off to explore this mountain area. The pub has real ales and ciders changing very regularly and the menus offer whole prawns in tempura batter; home-made pâté and toast; French brie and tomato quiche; sweet and sour chicken; rack of roasted BBQ pork ribs; and pan-fried sea bass fillet with buttered new potatoes. Lunchtime quick bites and sandwiches are offered too.
