The Smugglers' Den Inn
Trebellan,
CUBERT,
Nr Newquay,
TR8 5PY
Look to the blackboard for fish specials in this thatched 16th-century pub situated less than fifteen minutes from Newquay; the table d'hôte menu includes catch of the day too. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the pub comprises a long bar, family room, children's play area, courtyards and huge beer garden. Local suppliers are listed at the bottom of the no-nonsense modern menu, where a salmon and dill fishcake could be followed by a chargrilled breast of Celtic Farm free-range chicken. A real ale, cider and pie festival is held over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.

Fabulous.... food was excellent, atmosphere was relaxed and service was second to none even though I was given the wrong bottle of wine. I would probably recommend booking if you wanted to dine around 7-7:30 as by the time we left at 7 it was starting to get very busy.
