Cardiff Road, CREIGIAU, CF15 9NN
Well established for over 20 years, the Caesars Arms has a lot to offer. Vegetable gardens, polytunnels and a smallholding all form part of this enterprise, supplying a huge variety of greens, rare breed pork, honey, smoked meats and fish to the adjoining thriving farm shop (the former cricket pavilion) as well as the country pub and brasserie itself. The chefs here pride themselves in offering a progressive, modern menu combined with some old favourites, with seafood and exotic fish creating a good range of signature dishes which vary depending on the catch available. Sea bream, turbot or red mullet may feature, whilst a particular favourite is sea bass baked in rock salt then filleted at your table. Welsh game, beef and lamb satisfy the more traditional demands on the menu, whilst free-range chicken and duck come from Madgetts Farm in the Wye Valley. An extensive, quality wine list ensures that finding the perfect companion to your chosen main meal will be a breeze.
