2 Bourne Road, CORBY GLEN, NG33 4NS
The village of Corby Glen is a lovely setting for this cosy, welcoming pub, which has alfresco dining for the summer and roaring fires in the winter. In the bright and airy restaurant, you could share a baked camembert, or try the calves' liver and pork terrine, with Parma ham, sourdough toast and apple and apricot chutney; then take in toad-in-the-hole with mash and onion gravy; fillet of sea bream with saffron crushed potatoes, tomato and mussel broth; or rack of lamb with a pistachio and orange crust and dauphinoise potatoes. Finish with the Woodhouse cheese plate, or the hot chocolate fondant with poached black cherries and vanilla ice cream.
