The Crown Inn

Set by the village green and dating back over 700 years, this historic and beautifully appointed inn oozes charm and character, featuring ancient panelling, open fires, distinctive carvings, huge beams, and eight comfortable bedrooms. Food ranges from decent snacks like roast beef, horseradish and watercress sandwiches to Crown favourites like steak and kidney pudding, and imaginative dishes, perhaps roast duck on braised Savoy cabbage with smoked bacon and mash. Puddings include apple and rhubarb crumble.
