Old Harkers Arms

1 Russell Street, CHESTER, CH3 5AL

Striking tall windows, lofty ceilings, wooden floors and a bar constructed from salvaged doors make this former Victorian chandler's warehouse beside the Shropshire Union Canal one of Chester's more unusual pubs. A buzzy city watering hole, the bar offers over 100 malt whiskies and Weetwood Cheshire Cat and Titanic Stout among the hand pumps. The daily-changing menu runs from light dishes such as pitta bread filled with lamb, haloumi and tzatziki through to main courses such as beef, red wine and baby onion suet pudding. The pub holds events such as 'Pie & Ale Week'.
