The White Hart Inn
Description
On the outskirts of the village overlooking open farmland and woods, this pub draws everyone from cyclists and walkers to real ale enthusiasts. Dating from 1818, it originally refreshed local woodsmen and coach drivers visiting the farrier next door. Today's more sophisticated menu is likely to include corn-fed chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms, a grilled sirloin steak, or chef's curry of the day. Look to the blackboard for specials and fish dishes.
