The Old House at Home

This early 19th-century, ivy-clad stone free house is one of three run by the Warburton family; dad David has been here nearly three decades and still happily pulls pints of Maiden Voyage and Wadworth 6X in the low-beamed bar. Impressive menu favourites include Mexican chilli; griddled sea bass; woodland duck; fillet steak chasseur; and goat's cheese risotto. The gardens are not only beautifully landscaped but also feature a waterfall. Six high quality bedrooms are available in a stylish annexe.
