The Sword Inn Hand

Since the 14th century this old inn has been welcoming travellers needing a halfway break between London and Cambridge. Inside are the original oak beams, flagstone floors and open fireplace; outside is a large garden and pretty patio. Fresh produce is delivered daily for a good selection of bar snacks, specials and, taken from a typical evening menu, seared sea bass fillet with fresh asparagus; local sausages, creamy mash and red onion gravy; and caramelised onion, sweet pepper and goat's cheese tart. Accommodation is provided in four luxury ground floor bedrooms.
