The Unruly Pig

Orford Road, BROMESWELL, IP12 2PU

Close to the National Trust's Sutton Hoo, Rendlesham Forest and the lovely medieval town of Woodbridge, The Unruly Pig is a 16th-century Suffolk inn. The style is a pleasing mixture of traditional and contemporary, with original oak beams, sloping ceilings, log-burners and an eclectic mix of pop and local art on the walls. In the cosy bar you'll find Adnams and Greene King ales, while in the wood-panelled dining rooms the monthly-changing menus offer a good choice - and there are separate gluten-free and vegetarian menus. Starters might feature salmon rillette with fennel, horseradish and capers; or smoked duck hash with poached duck egg and broccoli; and main courses range from sage and thyme stuffed rabbit loin with baked polenta and cauliflower, to whole grilled sea bream with black olive hollandaise, crispy capers and baked potatoes.
