The Basketmakers Arms

12 Gloucester Road, BRIGHTON, BN1 4AD

A Victorian back-street local tucked away in the North Laine area of the city and run with passion and pride by Peter Dowd for 25 years. Expect to find a mind-boggling choice of drinks, including eight changing real ales, around 100 malt whiskies and large selections of vodka, gin, and bourbon. Food on the pub menu is all cooked in-house and prepared from locally sourced produce. Fish is bought daily straight from the local fishermen and dishes include beer-battered fish and chips, mussels in white wine, shallots and garlic, and roast beef sandwiches.
