Halfway House Inn

Cleobury Road, Eardington, BRIDGNORTH, WV16 5LS

Originally called the Old Red Lion, this 17th-century coaching inn was renamed in 1823 after a young Princess Victoria paid a visit en route between Shrewsbury and Worcester. An original Elizabethan mural has been preserved behind glass for all to enjoy, and the pub is renowned for a good selection of real ales, 40 malts, and around 100 wines. Home-cooked dishes range from light lunchtime bites to pork loin steak with peppercorn sauce; and rainbow trout with lemon and rosemary butter. Accommodation is available.
