The George Inn

Main Street, BLACKAWTON, TQ9 7BG

In the South Hams village of Blackawton, The George is an ideal base for visitors to nearby Totnes, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, as well as Woodlands Leisure Park. The pub gained its name during George III's reign but it was rebuilt after a fire in 1939, after which it became the rallying point for the forced evacuation of the parish in World War 2. Now a family-friendly and dog-friendly pub with comfortable accommodation, it's a place to relax with a real ale or cider and choose from a traditional menu, based on local produce, that includes pizzas, curries and pub classics.
