The Star Inn

23 Vineyards, BATH, BA1 5NA

One of Bath's oldest pubs and of outstanding historic interest, The Star was first licensed in 1760. Set amid glorious Georgian architecture, it is an impressive building in its own right, with original features including 19th-century Gaskell and Chambers bar fittings, a barrel lift from the cellar, and even complimentary pinches of snuff found in tins in the smaller bar! Long famous for its pints of Bass served from the jug, these days Abbey Ales from Bath's only brewery are also popular. Fresh filled rolls are available and free snacks on Sundays. A beer festival is held twice a year.
