The New Inn

Near the medieval church, this stylishly modernised old whitewashed village pub is a focal point for all things Welsh Marches, with beers from nearby Oswestry's Stonehouse brewery amongst five ales stocked, meats from the village's Moor Farm or Shrewsbury's renowned market, and cheeses from a Cheshire supplier. Chef-patron Marcus and his team transform these into tempting fare such as ham hock fritters with mustard mayonnaise; free range chicken breast with chorizo mash, sweetcorn purée, spinach and chicken jus; and caramelised lemon tart with Chantilly cream.
