The Old Point House

East Angle Bay, ANGLE, SA71 5AS

It's all angles round here - Angle village, Angle Bay, Angle RNLI. Indeed, the 15th-century Old Point has been the lifeboatmen's local since 1868, when their boathouse was built nearby. The track from the village skirts the foreshore and occasionally gets cut off by high spring tides. At its uneven-floored heart is the snug, its walls covered in old photos and memorabilia, and where Worthington's, Guinness, guest ales and real cider from Honey's in Somerset and Gwynt y Ddraig from Pontypridd are served. There was a change of hands in April 2016 and they continue to serve good, traditional pub food. There are picnic tables at the front with views across Angle Bay.
