Comment

Commenting on the new services, Andrew Strong, CEO of AA Services, said: "The car is the second biggest purchase for most families after their home. Millions of car owners have trusted the AA to help them on the roadside for more than 100 years. We now want to extend that trust and help AA members in the home too.

The AA prides itself on great customer service "AA Home Emergency Response is more than insurance cover as, like AA car breakdown cover, it removes the hassle of finding a quality tradesman at short notice. The AA prides itself on great customer service and we believe that millions of householders will look to the AA to also help them in the home.

"The AA's strengths at dealing with customers in emergency situations will help us and our customers in the home. We estimate that there is a big untapped market of some ten million homes but also feel that many AA members will want to consolidate their car and home emergency cover with us."
