How short-term van insurance works
Ever needed to borrow someone else's van for a day or two? A separate short-term van insurance policy allows you to drive another vehicle without putting the no-claims bonus on your main vehicle insurance at risk.
Automobile Association Insurance Services Limited will introduce customers to Temporary Cover Limited, which will arrange Short Term Van Insurance. When you click 'Get a quote' you will enter Temporary Cover Limited's website, where you can get a quote or buy temporary van insurance.
Temporary (short-term) van insurance is ideal for:
- temporary additional drivers
- temporary additional vans
- unaccompanied vehicle demonstrations
- lending a van to a friend, colleague or relative
- immediate drive-away insurance if you've just bought a van
You can apply for short-term van insurance for:
- any van you can drive with a standard UK driving licence
- any person with a current full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months, European Union licence for a minimum of 12 months or a provisional driving licence
- any person who has been resident in the UK for 12 months or more
- any insurance period from 1 to 28 days
- drivers aged between 18 and 75
Terms and conditions for your Short Term Van Insurance are available online and Temporary Cover Limited will send you complete documentation after you've bought your policy.
