This is a traditional country-house hotel with stylish, comfortable bedrooms, and high standards of guest care. Food is an important part of what the hotel has to offer and the restaurant serves classically based, French-style cuisine using locally sourced produce where possible. Meeting and conference rooms are available.

We arrived at 3pm to be told that the restaurant was closed for the night - the only suggestion was to eat at their sister hotel, which we declined. We discovered the hotel was over two miles from the town centre, though their website said one mile. It also says it's a flat walk, but it isn't. The bar was closed that night too. In contrast, the bedroom and breakfast were excellent. Service was varied. Overall a disappointment.
