Pilmour House, ST ANDREWS, KY16 9SF
The Old Course is 'The Home of Golf' where the game was first played over 600 years ago and it has since welcomed many of the world's greatest golfers and hosted The Open Championship more than any other venue. The three championship courses - The Old Course, The New Course and the Jubilee Course - run parallel to each other along the West Sands of St Andrews. On the opposite side of the links are The Eden, Strathtyrum and the only nine-hole course, The Balgove. A five-minute drive away is the seventh course, The Castle Course which offers dramatic views of St Andrews from its spectacular cliff top location. All seven courses are open to the public. The facilities and courses at St Andrews make this the largest golf complex in Europe.
