The club has two championship courses, laid out on the most glorious piece of heathland and both courses have their own individual characteristics. The Old Course, founded in 1900, was designed by Willie Park. It is a classic course with gorse and pines, silver birch, heather and immaculate turf. The New Course was created by H S Colt in 1922. It is a mixture of wood and open heath with long carries and tight fairways.
