Keighley & Worth Valley Railway & Museum

Keighley, HAWORTH, BD22 8NJ

The line was built mainly to serve the valley's mills, and passes through the heart of Brontė country. Beginning at Keighley Station - shared with the mainline - it climbs up to Haworth, and terminates at Oxenhope, which has a storage and restoration building. At Haworth there are locomotive workshops, and at Ingrow West, an award-winning museum. Steam trains operate at weekends and holiday time, but there's also a regular diesel service. Many special events take place throughout the year, including the successful curry and fish-and-chips trains. The much-loved 1970 family movie, The Railway Children, featured the KWVR and particularly Oakworth Station.
