AA and Bank of Scotland's relationship is coming to an end. Your credit card is now owned and managed by Bank of Scotland, and they will be sending you a new card to replace your existing AA Credit Card.
When you get your new Bank of Scotland credit card:
1. You'll need to make sure that you destroy your AA Credit Card in a way that your details can't be recognised.
2. You have until 31 March 2013 to redeem any existing AA Reward points you may have. If you wish to redeem any points, either telephone the rewards redemption line on 0800 783 0167. Or if you have a specific rewards log in, you can log in via the AA website in the usual way.
3. The online servicing link that you currently use to access your AA Credit Card will no longer be available after 27 November 2012. If you would like to continue servicing your credit card online from 27 November, you can register for Bank of Scotland online banking at www.bankofscotland.co.uk/register.
4. If you have any questions about this change, please refer to the letter sent to you by Bank of Scotland, or telephone them direct on 08457 29 39 49.
If you would like to remain an AA Credit Card customer, you could apply for one of the cards provided by the current issuer MBNA, two of which have a generous reward scheme. Please visit theAA.com/credit-card for details.
If you haven't received your new Bank of Scotland credit card by January 2013, please call Bank of Scotland. If you're experiencing difficulties and your account is currently with our collections department, you will only be sent a replacement card when your account is brought back up to date, subject to the terms and conditions of your account.
Yes you can continue to service your credit card account online, however you will now need to log on to www.bankofscotland.co.uk/register to re-register. You will then be able to log on and service your Bank of Scotland credit card account online. From 26 November 2012 this will be the only way you can service your account online.
Please call Bank of Scotland on 08457 29 39 49 to discuss or arrange to close your account.
