Chris Galvin

Originally inspired by the cooking of his grandmother, Chris Galvin began working 30 years ago in a neighbourhood restaurant under Antony Worrall-Thompson, later joining the Ritz hotel in London led by Michael Quinn.
Chris teamed up again with Worrall-Thompson in New York as Head Chef at Menage à Trois, before returning to London to work at L'Escargot and the Lanesborough Hotel. He then joined Conran Restaurants; one of the highlights of his time here was the launch of Orrery in 1997 which won a Michelin star in 2000. Chris also saw his responsibilities expanded when he was promoted to Chef Director of the group.
In 2003 Chris joined the Wolseley as Executive Chef, where the restaurant earned an impressive number of accolades including Time Out Restaurant of the Year, AA London Restaurant of the Year and inclusion in 'Restaurant' magazine's list of 50 Best Restaurants.
Brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin teamed up to open Galvin Bistrot de Luxe in Baker Street in September 2005. Jeff's previous experience includes Soho's one-star Michelin L'Escargot, three-star Michelin Chez Nico, the Greenhouse, and three-star Michelin the Oak Room with Marco Pierre White.
In May 2006, Chris and Jeff launched Galvin at Windows, at the London Hilton on Park Lane, with André Garrett (ex-Orrery) as their Head Chef.

Gary Rhodes

Gary Rhodes' legendary dedication to his craft and relentless pursuit of perfection has placed him firmly at the forefront of today's culinary world. Chef, restaurateur and author; his distinguished career, tireless attention to detail and unique mastery of the 'great British classics' sets him apart. A history of excellent restaurants has won him a clutch of Michelin stars.
Well-known as a keen ambassador for British cuisine, Gary has re-introduced the nation to its rich gastronomic heritage and in doing so has uncovered a world-class culinary culture.
Nearly 30 years after graduating from Thanet Technical College in Kent, Gary is an extremely busy man. The start of 2005 saw a first Michelin star for the successful London restaurant, Rhodes Twenty Four. Gary opened Rhodes W1 brasserie in the newly refurbished Cumberland Hotel in Marble Arch in 2005. At sea, he has also launched Arcadian Rhodes aboard the new P&O liner 'Arcadia', and Oriana Rhodes on the 'Oriana'. In 2006 Gary opened a new restaurant in Dublin – the 250-seater brasserie, Rhodes D7.
Last year Gary's Rhodes W1 restaurant won a Michelin star, bringing his total to an impressive six. In Christchurch, Dorset, Kings Rhodes brasserie opened in August, followed by the Rhodes South restaurant in November.

André Garrett

After watching his grandmother at work as a restaurant manager, André entered catering college at 15. He then worked with some of the best chefs in the business – Nico Ladenis at Nico at 90 and Nico Central, as well as with Bruno Loubet at Bistrot Bruno.
In 2000 he arrived at the Orrery to work under Chris Galvin. In 2002 he participated in the Tattinger competition, and also won a prestigous Roux scholarship. A year later, he returned to the Orrery as Head Chef, taking the place of Chris Galvin, who had then moved on. In 2006 he was back working with Chris again, as Head Chef at the launch of the new Galvin at Windows restaurant in the London Hilton on Park Lane.
