AA patrol Mike Giddens had a cheeky surprise on Sunday 2 June when attending a call-out... at a naturist club.
The owner of a 4x4, who had locked their keys in the vehicle at Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire, greeted the patrol wearing nothing but a shirt.
Mike Giddens says: "I did a double-take when the job details came through and then our operational centre called to check I was happy to attend. They jokingly told me to keep my steel-toe boots on for health and safety reasons!"
It took Mike 40 minutes to gain entry to the car, eventually fishing the keys out of the member’s wife’s handbag, which had been in the passenger footwell.
Mike continues: "It was tricky as the car was deadlocked but took even more concentration as I could see the reflection in the car window of the people watching me!"
Steve Dewey, AA road operations director, says: "You name it, our patrols have seen it. People of all walks of life get stuck in all manner of situations, so having a good sense of humour certainly helps."
The member thanked Mike for his efforts and then returned to his game of tennis.
