Kerscott Farm

Bishop's Nympton, SOUTH MOLTON, EX36 4QG

AA Logo 5 star rating
Farm House

Kerscott Farm is mentioned in the Domesday Book, and has been farmed continuously for more than a thousand years. The present house dates from the early 15th century with some parts being even older. It has a lovely character, full of beams, sloping floors, a branch staircase and many other original features. The house also retains its original walled cottage garden and cobblestone paths. The sitting room has a large inglenook fireplace that contains two bread ovens. Breakfast is produced on the trusty Aga, and is definitely aimed at setting you up for the day. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement. Obviously all meals are prepared using local produce, mainly from Kerscott Farm itself. Unusually the farm's water comes from its own springs and wells. Kerscott is a traditional livestock farm, and does not accept under 16s or dogs.
