Exact Model: CTS
Description: BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE COMPROMISED
VIN:
Build Date: 1 Jan 2003 to 31 Dec 2007

Defect: It is possible that the front brake hoses at the brake caliper could suffer excessive corrosion to the fittings, as a result of corrosive content of the road salt within snow or water. Should the fitting corrode significantly, it can result in a brake fluid leak. This leak should be identified. Numbers: 426
Defect: The drive axles/s pinion seal may leak. This will initially lead to oil leaking onto the road, noise and transmission drag which if not attended to will damage final drive components and in the worst case the drive axle/s could lock up and control of the vehicle could be lost.
Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the pinion seal/s
Launch Date: 20 June 2008

Action: Recall all affected vehicles for the modification of the HWFS.
