Defect: The fixing bolts of the front passenger seat rails to seat frame may fail and leave the seat insecure. In the event of an accident this could lessen the effectiveness of the seat belt.

Defect: On vehicles fitted with an air bag, the airbag connector plug or plugs must be checked to ensure that the connectors are fully locked, to prevent disconnection at a later time.
Action: On all models with the exception of the Astra-F, the passenger airbag plug is fitted to the drivers airbag plug. On Astra-F vehicles the passenger airbag plug is separated from the drivers airbag plug and needs to be checked. If the drivers airbag connector is found to be incorrectly installed, the clips not engaged or the plug inserted 180 degrees turned (not in contoured position), the airbag must be replaced. Further, all Vauxhall models fitted with a passenger airbag must have a label applied warning against the fitment of a rear facing child seat in the front passenger seat.
