Defect: The airbag Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is incorrect to specification, this reduces the number of impact configurations taken into consideration when activating the airbags. So an airbag may not deploy in as many advantageous situations..
Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the airbag ECU.

Description: Front suspension spring may break
Build Date:

Defect: In countries where salt is used extensively on the roads, the paint sub layer on certain springs produced over a specific manufacturing period shows very little resistance to corrosion. This can in exceptional circumstances cause a front suspension spring to break, with the attendant risk that the spring could contact the tyre.
Action: To prevent an occurrence of this type, likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled, at which time a suspension cup will be fitted on each front side of the vehicle, to prevent a failed spring from making contact with the tyre.
