Defect: The drivers front airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure. If an affected airbag deploys the increased internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture. In the event of an inflator rupture metal fragments could be propelled into the passenger compartment potentially causing injury to a vehicle occupant.
Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the inflator inside the drivers airbag module with a new one.

Defect: It has been identified that; if the handbrake is applied with the release button intentionally or unintentionally depressed, there is a small risk that the handbrake may not latch sufficiently to hold the vehicle securely on a slope.
