Defect: 1) during refuelling the flow of fuel can cause static electricty to build up in the tank filler neck with the possibility of static spark. 2) on some vehicles an electrical connector plug in the airbag system may not be correctly fitted.
Action: 1) Fit a metal earthing clamp to the lower end of the metal ring for the fuel filler cap to ensure a conductive connection between filler neck and vehicle body. 2) Check and rectify if necessary electrical connections to the airbag.

Defect: It has been identified that on vehicles fitted with the Z16XEP engine the upper oil pressure switch might release oil onto the exhaust manifold heat protection shield, which could result in self ignition.
Action: Recalled vehicles will have the upper oil pressure switch replaced by a screw plug. Additionally, a modified oil pressure switch will be fitted in a lower position.
