Defect: On some petrol vehicles the fuel tank cut valves can crack and result in the escape of fuel vapour. Additionally, vehicles thus affected will not comply with emissions directive EEC-91-441.
Action: Affected vehicles are being recalled to have the fuel tank replaced with a unit which incorporates modified fuel cut valves.
