Defect: When towing at or near the maximum permissible weight, cracking of the body may occur around the towbar mounting points. This could result in detachment of the trailer.
Action: Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of reinforcing plates to the area of the body where the towbar is mounted. Additionally, towing bracket fixation will be improved by the addition of 2 extra securing bolts to each side of the bracket.

Defect: Some front seat belt retractors, when the emergency lock has been applied, will not release. If the seat belt is locked in this manner the seat belt will not adjust for the next occupant.
Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the front seat belt assemblies.

Defect: The front suspension lower ball joint may separate from the steering knuckle with a consequent adverse effect on vehicle control.
