European toll roads and tolls
If you live or work in London you will be familiar with the London congestion charge, but outside London toll roads in this country are few and far between. There's the M6 toll road around Birmingham and 20 or so bridges and tunnels that carry tolls but that's about it.
On the continent the situation's very different and you're much more likely to encounter a toll road, particularly on the main motorway network. There are also road charges in 14 other European cities including Stockholm, Oslo and Milan.
Tolls can add up, particularly on a long journey so it pays to do your research before you go.
Select the country from the drop-down menu on the right or click the country code on the map below to view toll details for roads, bridges and tunnels.
