Compare with other cars in the Small SUV category

The passenger compartment remained stable during the impact. VW have done much to remove hazards from the dashboard area but the steering column and ignition barrel still posed some risk of injury to the driver's knees and femurs. The car scored maximum points in the side impact and pole tests and in the pedestrian test the bumper scored maximum points for the protection it offered to pedestrians' legs. However, the front edge of the bonnet provided poor levels of pedestrian protection.
