Compare with other cars in the Large Family Car category
The new Vectra has a strong body shell that provides a safe passenger compartment. All the doors could be opened normally after the test. The chest loads on the driver were relatively high. Both child dummies were protected in ISOFIX restraints which worked well for the younger child. Whilst the restraints were said by Opel to have met the requirements for type approval, there were no labels on the restraints to confirm that this was so. The pedestrian protection was poor.
