The passenger compartment remained stable during the frontal impact. The steering column presented a potential risk of injury to the driver's femurs. Protection of the chest was rated as marginal for both the driver and the passenger. A head-protecting airbag is not available on the Kangoo so no pole test was done. The bumper scores maximum points for its protection of pedestrians' legs but the front edge of the bonnet scored nothing. The bonnet surface was rated as predominantly poor for the protection it offered to the head of a struck adult.
