The passenger compartment remained stable in the front impact test. Dummy reading indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of both driver and passenger. Peugeot were able to show that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizes and to those sat in different positions. The 308CC scored maximum points in the side impact and pole tests. In the pedestrian protection tests the bumper scored maximum points for the protection offered to pedestrians' legs. However, the bonnet surface offered predominantly poor protection to the head of a struck child or adult.
