The passenger was very well restrained by the seatbelt and his knees did not contact the dashboard during the impact. There was insufficient pressure in the driver's airbag to prevent the dummy's head from 'bottoming-out' the airbag onto the steering wheeel. The knee airbag protected the driver's knees and femurs in the test. Peugeot showed EuroNCAP the results of tests that demonstrated that the airbag would also protect larger or smaller occupants from hard structures in the dashboard. The 207 CC scored maximum points in the side impact and pole tests whilst in the pedestrian test the bumper scored maximum points for the protection offered to pedestrian's legs.
