In the frontal impact structures in the dashboard represented a potential hazard to the knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. In the side impact one of the ISOFIX anchorages used to attach the child restraints broke. Nissan has identified and corrected the manufacturing fault and is contacting owners of affected cars to replace the rear seat frame. The leading edge of the bonnet scored no points for the protection it offered to the legs of pedestrians.
