AA Guides – Restaurant, Pub and Golf Course
Inclusion in the AA Restaurant Guide
Restaurants are inspected for inclusion in the AA Restaurant Guide on a recommendation basis. They can ask to be inspected themselves or can be recommended to us by an inspector or the public. Inclusion in the guide is not based on a pay-to-enter scheme.
We ask the restaurant to submit a selection of menus, wine list and the chef's CV. We then decide whether to inspect based on this information and Rosette(s) are awarded as appropriate. If you would like us to consider your restaurant, please send the above information to:

All Rosetted restaurants automatically enter the AA Restaurant Guide. However we may also feature 'Neighbourhood' restaurants – places that are not quite up to Rosette standard, but are popular, pleasant and very busy. These are often particularly well-run and presented outlets of larger chains.

Inclusion in the AA Golf Course Guide
Golf courses are entered into the AA Golf Course Guide on a recommendation basis.
Inclusion in the guide is not based on a pay-to-enter scheme. Golf courses will be asked to provide their details, and a decision to include the golf course in the guide is based on this information.
Golf courses are not inspected, but must pass certain criteria before they can be included in the AA Golf Course Guide.

Inclusion in the AA Pub Guide
Pubs are inspected for inclusion in the AA Pub Guide on a recommendation basis. They can ask to be inspected themselves or can be recommended to us by an inspector or the public. Inclusion in the guide is not based on a pay-to-enter scheme.
If the pub has a restaurant, we ask them to submit details of its menu, wine list and kitchen staff, and we then decide whether to include the pub, based on this information.
Pubs are not inspected, but must pass certain criteria before they are included in the AA Pub Guide.
