Chapter Two

Chapter Two - sibling to big brother Chapter One (see entry) - will be refurbished and re-branded as Chapters. Covering two floors, the new premises is a mix of café, bar and brasserie, open all day from breakfast to dinner. The stylish make-over will create informal and comfortable rooms, while the pleasant village location will remain the same. The new menu will take in both the serious upscale restaurant food as before - pan-fried sea trout with tortellino and ginger velouté - alongside brasserie classics such as French onion soup. Start with chicken liver and foie gras parfait with grape chutney and toasted sourdough bread and follow on with roast rib of beef with gratin potatoes, or simply pop in for a snack or a drink. There will be a plat du jour menu and daily specials board, and carefully sourced, good quality produce are always used throughout.
