Originally an 18th-century ferry inn, today it combines country-house comfort with modern chic to create a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Richly furnished lounges come replete with cosy sofas, log fires and interesting artwork, while the small cottage-style restaurant continues the theme with designer fabrics, candlelit tables and huge windows framing the views over the loch and mountains. Try a starter of halibut with scallop, crispy artichokes and pan juices, followed perhaps by roast fillet of cod with langoustines, tapenade crust, herb mash and chive velouté, or seared wild salmon and scallop with soft herb and parmesan risotto and shellfish cappuccino.
