Description
Once home to one of Cornwall's leading artists, this listed Regency house is now a delightful restaurant with stylish rooms. The philosophy is simple - great food, beautiful surroundings and an informal, happy atmosphere. The restaurant has a Mediterranean theme that spills out into a walled garden full of terracotta pots and palm trees. The chef patron Ciro Zaino spent years managing some of London's famous hotel restaurants but he has found true inspiration in Cornwall's fine larder, providing a daily-changing menu of fresh choices including lots of local fish and seafood. Think fillets of red mullet served with tomatoes, black olives and fresh basil, or perhaps a rack of lamb with a crust of mustard and aromatic herbs, and to finish, maybe a warm apple tart with crème Chantilly and a hint of Calvados.
