Crab & Winkle Seafood Restaurant

Located above the town's fish market on the quay overlooking the harbour, this recently refurbished, modern, buzzing restaurant has a light-and-airy feel, appropriately decked out with maritime art and polished lightwood tables and chairs. The decked balcony is a great place for alfresco dining in summer and, on less clement days, the views of the harbour and fishing fleet more than compensates. Given its location, it's no surprise that the modern menus come awash with fish and seafood, straight from the boats and simply cooked. Take steamed fillet of wild sea bass with herb-crushed new potatoes, spring onions and a smoked salmon and chive velouté, or perhaps poached Loch Duart salmon with buttered cabbage and fennel sour cream.
