This exciting addition to the Gordon Ramsay stable isn't difficult to find, with entrances from the imposing London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square or directly off Grosvenor Square itself. Contemporary and bright, the extensive dining area follows the maze theme, decked out in split levels with the lowest at the centre, surrounded by a glass screen featuring the restaurant's maze motif. Tables are simply laid, while service exudes style and panache, from its professional demeanour to its knowledge. There is also a chef's table overlooking the main pass. Executive chef Jason Atherton - formerly of Ramsay's Dubai venture, Verre - delivers a modern French approach with Asian influences, via a fashionable, grazing-style menu featuring an impressive and appealing array of innovative, complex and highly accomplished tapas-style dishes that come dressed to thrill and showcase the best seasonal ingredients (with six to eight dishes recommended per head). There's also a traditional carte, essentially based on larger portions of the grazing options, plus a Sunday roast offering. Expect the likes of Orkney scallops roasted with spices, peppered golden raisin purée and cauliflower, followed by roasted brill with provençale cockle vinaigrette, pistou and baby spinach, and to finish, pain au chocolat (chocolate ganache with caffé latte sorbet, vanilla bread-and-milk mousse). The 'flights of wines' innovation epitomises the attention to detail throughout, offering three glasses based on a country or grape variety, which ideally suits the grazing concept.
