You'll need to make a reservation at this small, book-lined restaurant with rooms located in a Victorian Highland townhouse. It has a homely feel and as it is run by a husband-and-wife team, you can be sure of personal attention. Everything is made in-house using locally-sourced produce where possible. The four-course dinner menu offers a choice between dessert and cheese, with the other dishes being fixed. You might start with dived West Coast scallops in a Thai broth, followed by roast best end of Ross-shire lamb with provençale vegetables and thyme gravy. Finish with vanilla bavarois served with a raspberry coulis. Good quality wines are served by the glass or bottle.
